From Cabin to Collection: Moving the Material Culture Collections

Beginning in 2021, Firebird Foundation’s Material Culture Collections have made quite a journey—from a cabin in the woods behind the family home to our purpose-built archival facilities down the road. Along the way, a team of dedicated maintenance staff, archivists and conservators have moved, cleaned, preserved, and documented objects from Marudu House before giving them a new home in our repository.
